Terms of Service
Effective date: July 3, 2026
Welcome to Ascension Protocol (the “Service”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and Ascension Protocol (“we”, “us”, or “our”) and govern your access to and use of the Service, including our website and mobile application. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility & Accounts
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
2. What Ascension Protocol Is
Ascension Protocol is a self-improvement and life-gamification tool that turns real-life habits and goals into a role-playing-game style progression system. The Service is provided for personal motivation and entertainment. It is not medical, financial, legal, psychological, or professional advice, and should never be used as a substitute for guidance from a qualified professional.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts, systems, or data.
- Abuse, harass, threaten, or defraud other users (including via PvP or leaderboard features).
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or interfere with the operation or security of the Service.
- Submit content that is illegal, infringing, or harmful.
4. Free Features & the Ascension License
Core features of the Service are available free of charge. Certain premium features (the “Ascension License”) may be offered as a one-time purchase. Details of what is included are described on our Pricing page. We may change the features included in free or premium tiers over time, but we will not revoke premium features you have already purchased except as described in these Terms.
5. Purchases & Billing
Purchases made through our website are processed by our third-party payment processor. Purchases made inside the Android application are processed through Google Play Billing and are subject to Google Play’s terms in addition to these Terms. You authorize us and our payment providers to charge the applicable amounts. All prices are shown before you confirm a purchase. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.
6. User Content
You retain ownership of the content you create (quests, activities, notes, etc.). You grant us a limited license to store and process that content solely to operate and improve the Service. You are responsible for the content you submit.
7. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, code, branding, and original content, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our trademarks or branding without prior written permission.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any goals tracked within it will produce particular real-world results.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you within the Service. Your continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
